One chart

Your next patient arrives with 90 pages of records. Pawnda reads them.

Lab PDFs, referral emails, vaccine certificates, photos from the owner and notes from your PIMS. Pawnda files each one into a single chart, dated and linked to the line it came from.

How it works

From a pile of files to a chart you can question.

Pawnda works beside the practice software you already run. Records come in, get read and go back out, and your PIMS stays the system of record.

01 · Read

Briefed before the visit.

Open a patient and the chart leads with why today matters, the owner’s pre-visit note in their own words, and the questions they want answered. Every value Pawnda extracts is labeled Unverified and links to the line it came from.

  • Owner notes stay labeled
  • Every value links to its line

02 · Ask

Ask anything. Answers come with receipts.

Ask in plain language. Pawnda answers from the records on file, cites each fact and opens the record at the quoted line. When the record has no answer, it says so.

  • Every fact cited
  • Says when it does not know

03 · Records in and out

Your PIMS stays the system of record.

Paste or upload notes from your practice software, and they arrive in the chart tagged From EMR. When you are done, export a patient’s records as one indexed PDF, or send your visit note to the pet’s records, where the owner sees it from you. A Pawnda summary goes into an export only if you add it after reviewing it.

  • One indexed PDF
  • Nothing to migrate

On the website, today

From the first worry to the visit note.

Everything in this list works on pawnda.com now. What you share reaches your vet before the visit, and their note can come back to you after it.

  1. Pre-triage when something is wrong

Say what changed and since when, and Pawnda suggests how soon to be seen. Anything that sounds like an emergency tells you to call a vet now, before anything else. It does not diagnose or prescribe.

  2. Find and tag your vet

Search by name, clinic or city. Your vet sees what you share with them, and you can remove them at any time.

  3. Mark the visit

Add the date and the reason, with your questions and records attached, so your vet can read them before you arrive.

  4. Add and share records

Upload lab results, vaccine certificates and visit summaries. Share them with any vet, even one not on Pawnda, through a password-protected link that expires on its own, 3 days by default.

  5. Get the visit note

After the visit, your vet can add their visit note to your pet’s records, marked with who sent it. Share it on like any record.

Honest when the record is silent

If nothing on file answers the question, Pawnda says so instead of guessing. It is decision support, not diagnosis.

Has any imaging ever been done, x-rays or ultrasound?

Pawnda

I can’t answer that from Mochi’s record. None of the 14 records on file contain imaging… Rather than guess, I’ll say plainly: there is no imaging history here.

Illustration of the behavior, not a recorded answer.

A copy for Luna’s chart · The Pawnda film · 1:38 · music, no narration

Every screen is the real product. Luna, Maria Chen and Dr. Sarah Kim are fictional.

Read the film as text
  1. “We would be grateful for a copy of your findings for Luna’s chart.” A referral letter to Dr. Sarah Kim, a veterinary dermatologist, dated Jun 2.
  2. A referral arrives as a letter and four attachments. The owner’s account arrives in the exam room.
  3. Pawnda puts both in one brief, before the visit.
  4. On pawnda.com, Maria Chen, Luna’s owner, starts a pre-triage in her own words: “She is scratching her neck raw again, and the bald patches are back. The steroid injection in May only helped for about a week.” Since when: 1 to 4 weeks.
  5. Pawnda’s answer, written by rules: Soon, see a vet in the next few days, because it is a problem that has lasted days and isn’t clearing up.
  6. She marks the visit with Dr. Kim. Visit marked for today at 9:30 AM: Dr. Kim can read Luna’s records and Maria’s questions before they arrive.
  7. Dr. Sarah Kim, Dermatology, Kim Dermatology for Pets, Palo Alto. Her day opens on Today’s brief, written from the records, not by AI: Luna has new records.
  8. In Luna’s chart, the reason for the visit sits in the owner’s words, marked Owner-entered, and the referral says the same thing: only about one week of relief from Depo-Medrol.
  9. The chart’s record summary shows the referral’s request, and one click opens the letter on that line. Every value shows its source.
  10. After the visit, Dr. Kim adds her note to Luna’s records. She types it herself: “Vaccines: no reason to wait. Bayside can give them now.”
  11. Added to Luna’s records. Maria can see it now.
  12. On Maria’s side, the note arrives marked From Dr. Kim: start an 8-week elimination diet today.
  13. She sends it to Bayside too. No Pawnda account needed. Bayside’s vet reads Dr. Kim’s note and Maria’s pre-triage in a browser, read-only.
  14. Sent Sep 25, with Dr. Kim’s note. The copy for Luna’s chart that the letter asked for.
  15. The Pawnda app comes next, with home checks. Same account.
  16. The vet reads the history before the visit. The owner keeps the note after it. Pet owners: open a free account today. Vets: try a demo patient, then join with a founding coupon. pawnda.com
